Stump grinder removing a hardwood stump in a tidy Florida yard

Stump Grinding & Removal in Live Oak, FL

Ground below grade, roots chased, mulch hauled or backfilled, and turf left ready to plant the same day.

How we approach stump grinding

A ground stump is the difference between a finished job and a yard you still have to mow around. We grind well below grade, chase the surface roots that lift sod and crack pavers, and leave a clean, plantable hole.

Mulch is either hauled off or used to backfill and tamp, whichever you prefer. Utility lines are located before we grind.

Questions

Stump Grinding FAQs

Do you grind stumps you did not remove?
Yes. Stump-only jobs are welcome, including old stumps left by other companies or previous owners.
Can I plant grass or a new tree where the stump was?
Grass and beds, yes — usually right away once the hole is backfilled with soil. For a new tree in the same spot, we grind wider and deeper and recommend fresh topsoil.
How big a mess does grinding make?
Grinding throws chips, so we tarp and screen nearby beds, walls and vehicles, then rake and blow the area clean.
